Where Is the Oil Filter in a Plymouth Breeze?

    Oil Filter Location

    • On the Plymouth Breeze, the oil filter is located near the passenger-side front wheel between the radiator and the oil pan. It is directly in front of the exhaust crossover pipe, so exercise caution when replacing the oil filter while the engine is hot as touching this pipe may cause burns.

    Maintenance and Replacement

    • The manufacturer recommends the oil filter be replaced every 7,500 miles under normal driving conditions. Because the filters are relatively inexpensive you may consider replacing them at every oil change, which should be done every 3,000 miles.

    Removal and Installation

    • The oil filter can be removed with a strap wrench or an end cap-style wrench attachment. Only remove the filter after the oil pan has been completely drained, and be careful removing the filter as it contains about a pint of hot oil. Apply a thin layer of oil over the gasket on the new filter and hand-tighten upon installation.
